Everything Aliix has studied and personally experienced has given her a heartfelt understanding of the feelings and struggles of others. Aliix enjoys organic, barefoot in the mud gardening, trail running in the rain, Agatha Christie mysteries, and anything medical forensics. A grounded, intuitive, empathetic listener; that’s Aliix.
Elyse believes that the most important part of the therapy process is building a trusting relationship with her clients. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Counselor Supervisor, and Victim Service Provider, John has spent 11 years establishing meaningful connections with clients while assisting them in creating impactful and lasting changes. His perfect blend of humor, compassion and accountability make this possible. Johns therapeutic style encompasses an integrative approach based on the client and their unique circumstances. He has a trauma informed lens while incorporating mindfulness, solution focused, acceptance and cognitive behavioral approaches to therapy. Liz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who graduated from the School of Social Work at Rutgers University after teaching in Poland and graduating from law school. She has twenty years of experience working with clients with substance use disorders and psychiatric disorders both in private practice and a hospital outpatient setting. Liz works with adolescents as well as adults. She utilizes a variety of interventions including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, and brief interventions. Her clients connect with her because she is genuine, authentic, and brings humor into therapy. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, Goldendoodles, travelling and reading.
Angi was drawn to become a therapist by a desire to walk with people as they navigate life’s twists and turns. Her approach is authentic, dynamic, and uplifting. She never loses sight of the capacity of individuals to persevere, create and transform. Angi has 20 years of experience working with people of diverse and complex backgrounds in both non-profits and private practice. She has a warm and relational style and brings sprinkles of humor into her work. She specializes in working with adults facing life transitions, grief and loss, relationship problems, and symptoms related to anxiety and depression. Angi uses various therapeutic approaches in her work inclusive of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and CBT. She is passionate about the connection between nutrition and mood and earned a certificate in Nutrition and Integrative Medicine for Mental Health from Adelphi University. Lizzy, a spirited Licensed Independent Social Worker, brings a wealth of experience working with children in local schools. Originally from the lively Jersey Shore, Lizzy began her social work journey after graduating from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and later relocated to Charleston in 2021. Her expertise focuses on supporting children with a wide range of diagnoses, including ADHD, autism, and behavioral disorders. Lizzy is passionate about empowering children by nurturing self-regulation and social-emotional skills in a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment. She is dedicated to creating a space where children can thrive and develop the skills they need to succeed. Outside of work, Lizzy enjoys beach outings, reading, invigorating workout classes, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Ryan is a Licensed Professional Counselor that earned his degree from Georgia Southern University and is a certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Ryan is passionate about bringing a non-judgmental, light-hearted approach to his work with clients dealing with issues such as stress and anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem, relationship problems, personality disorders, and life transitions. He is dedicated to his work with teens and adults, minorities, and disenfranchised groups, especially members of the LGBTQ+ community. Ryan is an avid traveler and loves exploring the outdoors.
